CVS Health Underwriting Analytics Senior Advisor in WORK FROM HOME, Arizona

Job Description

Do you love digging into data and finding solutions to complex problems? Join our Client Financial Analysis and Proposals department as a Senior Advisor, where you will be developing and maintaining expert knowledge of the rapidly changing healthcare marketplace, pharmacy benefits management industry, CVS Health data warehouses and sales strategies. Here, you will be essential to gaining a better insight into a client’s data and formulating a data-driven approach to forecast the projected utilization of members based on formulary, network, and other CVS sales strategies. You will be the lead SAS/SQL coder on the team and some of your key responsibilities will include:- Enhancing and troubleshooting the Analytics SAS code models- Training the team on how to work through the code and update accordingly with custom client requirements- Analyze and validating claims data for current and prospective clients- Collaborate with our Underwriting partners to communicate data trends and anomalies to assist with their financial bidsYou will be critical in the process to retain and win new business with supporting CVS Health’s enhanced pricing options by providing analytical insights to make more informed business decisions and meet the needs of the rapidly changing healthcare marketplace. To be successful, you will utilize your strong SAS/SQL/Excel expertise and advanced knowledge of data modeling and statistical analysis. Your familiarity with pharmacy claims data will also be key.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of analytics experience analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing large data sets* At least 1 year of advanced coding experience in SAS & SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in prescription drug industry* Python and advanced SQL* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel * Experience with Rally, Databricks, Azure and Microsoft Office

  • Bachelor's degree required* Masters Degree preferred* Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
