CVS Health VP, Communications Strategy & Enterprise Solutions in Woonsocket, Rhode Island
The VP, Communications Strategy and Enterprise Solutions will report to the SVP of Enterprise Communications and be responsible for strategy and operations planning and execution for reputation and purpose, enterprise campaigns, tradeshows and sponsorship, and company narrative and stories. A critical leader in driving governance, change, reporting, communication and administration components for Communications which fosters significant collaboration with marketing, business units, shared services and corporate leaders.Key Responsibilities:Strategy & enterprise leadership• Drives overall annual planning processes (strategic, financial and investment) for Enterprise Communications, including developing annual priorities, initiatives and impact assessments for execution • Leads key departmental operational and management workstreams, driving ad-hoc problem-solving session with team leaders, and representing department priorities in engagements with senior internal and external stakeholders• Serve as the Enterprise Communications risk owner for the monitoring, oversight, mitigating and reporting of reputational risks.• Collaborates with Enterprise Strategy to understand new/refined imperatives and how internal/external narratives, messages and stories drive business value and critical business outcomes • Owns relationship with the Marketing teams and promote and integrate marketing, brand and customer advocacy/insights activity with communications through collaborative and transparent working relationships• Leads primary partnership with IT to ensure technology support and channel alignmentOperations• Lead the team that manages governance, change, reporting, communication and administration components for Communications that fosters significant collaboration, quality and streamlined efficiencies• Accountable for the management of the Reputation & Purpose Steering Team and its oversight and execution of integrated enterprise campaigns poised to strengthen the company reputation, purpose and narrative• Drive reputational reporting and metrics to influence the execution and outcomes of campaigns, narratives, messages and stories for the company• Provide leadership on the integration of data, analytics and insights to functions and processes for Enterprise Communications• Responsible for the operations model and oversight of all implementation projects, ensuring proper monitoring, reporting and communications on change• Collaborates with stakeholders while leading strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution• Serves as key interface in handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them. Partner with Communications in various ways such as internal, external communications, social channels, etc.• Resolves issues and removes barriers that hinder initiatives. Builds contingency plans and executes corrective action on a timely basis to mitigate risksCommunications & Events• Leads that team that administers and operates all company tradeshow and sponsorships, including events, leader participation, vendor management and material• Develop and maintain the company narrative, including key messaging at the enterprise and business levels, for all audiences and channels. Curate customer stories to optimize internal/external company activities (i.e., company town hall, earnings, investor day/strategy, etc.)• Responsible to the Chief Communications Officer to gather and align on a company communications planTravel based on business needs
• 15+ years experience with a focus in communications, marketing and related areas such as government relations• 3+ years leading teams focused on operations and/or strategy• 2+ years of experience with strategy consulting or on strategy teams in large companies• Proven experience developing and executing successful communication programs at the enterprise level for major corporate organizations• Proven project management skills, proven track record for executing multi-faceted programs.• Engage people in a dialogue to gain commitment and bring them "on board" linking their perspective to the intent.• Exhibit executive presence and ability to collaborate with and influence key decision makers.• Able to manage, motivate and inspire a top performing team.• Able to hire and develop the right talent.• Effective team player with proven ability to work with senior executives and peers in the communications function.• Able to handle high level confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.• Commitment to quality while being able to prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment.
