CVS Health Senior Analyst, Accounting in Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Position Summary

This position will be part of the Front Store Inventory & Gross Margin team, which is responsible for the weekly close of the Front Store Inventory Activity Report (IAR) as well as associated weekly and monthly financial reporting and Weighted Average Cost integrity. It will play a key role in the weekly close process and associated analytics.

As the Accounting Senior Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the weekly and monthly close processes.

  • Validating the integrity of inventory and gross margin data.

  • Performing weekly exception analysis.

  • Posting journal entries, BOH adjustments and WAC adjustments.

  • Working with large amounts of data from various systems.

  • Learning and understanding data flows both in and out of SAP.

  • Completing ad hoc requests, projects, and analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years accounting/finance experience

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Access and Excel

  • Proven ability to mine large quantities of data and quickly adapt to new systems

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize accordingly

  • Proven analytical, presentation and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to be a self-starter and to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of inventory

  • Working knowledge of cost accounting

  • Knowledge of SAP or other client-server general ledger package

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,700.00 - $107,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
