CVS Health Marketing Strategy - CMX Lead Director in Woonsocket, Rhode Island

If you answered yes - come join the CVS Media Exchange (CMX) business, a fast-growing retail media arm at the 4th largest company in the US. as the Director of Marketing Strategy!In this position, you will build and lead a world-class marketing team focused on defining and building the CMX brand, properly positioning CMX internally and externally, and identifying how the brand comes to life to create long-term equity. As a strategic, creative, and operationally driven leader you will inspire innovative brand marketing, communications and storytelling across all advertiser communications and touchpoints as well as industry activations. You will also be responsible for developing marketing campaigns and promotions to drive advertiser acquisition and engagement, as well as implement a lead management process for the Partner Management Team. You will report to the Head of Monetization Marketing, with close partnership across the broader Monetization Leadership Team and Heart Haus, internal CVS Health agency. As a newly created role you will have five main focuses but the opportunities for impact are limitless:1) Own the CMX brand strategy, architecture, brand voice and value proposition across all touch points. 2) Drive the development and strategy for the CMX marketing plan and annual activation calendar including messaging & content strategy, industry sponsorships & speaking engagements, as well as sales enablement, including new product launches. 3) Define the owned and earned content calendar activating across channels to be stood-up (CMX microsite, LinkedIn page, eNewsletter) as well as in partnership with CVS Health Corporate Communications to garner earned coverage. 4) Partner with Consumer Insights to understand our advertisers and the comms opportunities as it relates to our offering, awareness, and overall satisfaction. 5) Lead and mentor a growing team of marketers, prioritizing activities that support CMX’s strategic goals while fostering a culture of inspiration, growth and empowerment.CVS Media Exchange [CMX] is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for our suppliers, merchants, stores, GMs, brand advertisers, and agencies. Our full-funnel ad solutions leverage CVS’s in-store and online data, extensive reach, and to provide measurable results for our clientele. With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service; these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, engage with CVS consumers, and convert CVS consumers to shoppers.This role is work at home flexible. It can be based remotely in the U.S. or near one of our Corporate Hubs. If you are commutable to one of the following Corporate Hubs, you must work in the office 2 or more days a week: Wellesley, MA, Woonsocket, RI, Hartford, CT, Buffalo Grove, IL, Northbrook, IL, Scottsdale, AZ, Irving, TX, or New York, NY.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 100,000

Maximum: 227,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of marketing experience with a strong foundation of retailer, retail media network, and CPG understanding• 6+ years cross-functional leadership experience• 4+ years of retail marketing or retail agency/strategy experience• 4+ years of digital marketing experience including examples of testing and validating emerging opportunities, with considerable emphasis on B2B content• 2+ years of brand or category management experience a plus• Travel requirement is up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong Retail Media Network acumen • Proven B2B storyteller, skilled at distilling complex concepts to compelling and audience-centric content• Editorial mindset capable of managing a flexible B2B content and event content calendar responsive to changing market dynamics and priorities• Demonstrated ability to work in a highly matrixed organization, specifically with Sales and Product leaders• Self-motivated, high-capacity individual who can function and win in a demanding, performance-driven environment• Excellent communication skills that can be effectively articulated in both written and oral forms across a diverse audience base • Creative problem solver who can incorporate new learnings into existing plans and act decisively and independently• Experience with relevant marketing technology and channels, including marketing enablement, lead generation and management• Makes fact-based decisions that balance analytic insights with personal experience• Knows how to get things done through formal channels as well as relationships with colleagues across the organization


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (HS Diploma and 4 yearsof experience) requiredMBA preferred
