CVS Health Director, Data Architecture (Clinical Products, FHIR) - Remote in Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Job Description

You will be responsible for designing and leading implementation of clinical data solutions. You will collaborate with analytic partners and business partners from product, marketing, IT, data strategy, and predictive analytics to develop effective solutions for our partners.Key Responsibilities:• Development of processes and workflows to ensure cross-team collaboration and leveraging specialized expertise from across Enterprise Analytics and other internal partners.• Engage enterprise architecture teams to solution and plan iterative solutions • Lead the product architecture across clinical data products, engaging our enterprise and data engineering architecture teams• Engage with SAFe Agile teams to set a product roadmap and delivery options that meet stakeholder requirements• Developing business cases that estimate costs and benefits to demonstrate the value to the business and guide prioritization decisions.• Lead vendor accelerator vendor solution identification and evaluations.• Manage the interaction between supporting vendors and analytics.• Constructing and delivering written reports of the analytic findings in a variety of formats (reports, PPT, including visualization of data and findings), formulating recommendations, and effectively presenting the results to potential non-analytic audiences.• Communicating complex technical subjects to technical and non-technical audiences.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 100000

Maximum: 221000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in clinical data architecture or engineering role. Postgraduate education may count toward required years of experience.• 5 years’ experience developing roadmaps, project plans, and staffing needs in a matrix organization and working collaboratively with leaders of other teams to assign the proper resources to the project.• 5 years’ hands-on experience working with large data sources, focusing on efficient data extraction from large databases, data manipulation, and insight generation.• 1+ years of experience with SAS, SQL, Python, R, Tableau and/or other data, statistical, and data visualization tools and techniques, and ability to investigate and adapt emerging analytic tools and solutions into the analytic standard operating procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Problem solving skills and experience constructing analytic solutions to business problems.• Experience with HL7, FHIR, LOINC, SNOMED CT, and other healthcare data standards• Experience with pharmacy or medical claims and clinical program data• Experience working with business partners in clinical, operations, IT, and compliance• Working knowledge of a variety of healthcare data management processes and techniques, including data standards, interoperability, and proper data privacy.• Understanding of the healthcare administration landscape and CVS Health business model, including patient and payer concerns, as well as the operational considerations in support of the business objectives.
