American Tower Sourcing Lead in Woburn, Massachusetts
The Supply Chain Organization strategically sources quality materials and services at lowest total cost, using a supplier management program that leverages best-in-class people, systems, and processes. The Sourcing Lead is a significant contributor to the sourcing function, including commodity and category development, strategic and operational sourcing, procurement, contracting, and supplier management strategies for either a specified area of spend or business group.
The Sourcing Lead, having commodity management responsibilities of up to $30 million annually, drives overall execution of the commodity sourcing strategy and end-to-end supply chain performance management to achieve best-in-class product quality, cost, delivery, and performance. The Sourcing Lead must think creatively and challenge the status quo while upholding the highest levels of integrity and compliance.
Lead the sourcing process for assigned spend categories and assist the Category Manager with developing the overall sourcing strategy and opportunity assessment.
Support the execution of organizational sourcing strategies by managing tactical and innovative sourcing programs, adapt to changing market conditions, support new business opportunities, and deliver on cost reduction strategies.
Develop ERFx and negotiation strategies utilizing best practices sourcing methodology to deliver optimal total cost value and supply assurance.
Successfully manage multiple complex projects through cross-functional collaboration and a disciplined approach to project management that enables consistent implementation.
Identify and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical, and procurement risks to minimize negative impacts on organizational objectives while encouraging opportunity and innovation.
Ensure proper analysis and application of internal and external industry-specific research information to ensure the sourcing approach is current, risks are identified, and insights are leveraged to drive value.
Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders to provide strategic insights about business needs, resolve complex issues, and deliver high performance cost, service, and quality outcomes.
Contribute to the creation or amendment of Supply Chain department policies and processes.
Monitor Enterprise Resource Management systems to ensure purchasing process and eventual order acceptance are being successfully performed by others.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in Engineering, Business, or Supply Management preferred.
Minimum 4 years of progressive sourcing or procurement experience in a supply chain or strategic sourcing team required.
Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating statements of work and service level agreements for individual requirements and within a fixed contract strongly preferred.
Wireless telecommunications industry experience, including sourcing or working in the construction or operations functions, preferred (for operational sourcing roles).
Category or relevant industry experience preferred (for indirect sourcing roles).
Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office Suite, with strength in the use of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, required.
Professional certifications ( e.g ., Certified Public Manager, Certified Professional in Supply Management, or Certified in Production and Inventory Management) preferred.
Oracle supply chain modules experience preferred.
Approximately 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 5% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
