Novant Health Director Team Member Health Operations in Winston Salem, North Carolina

Overview

The Director of Team Member Health Operations develops, maintains and communicates a comprehensive Team Member Health program in conjunction with the needs of the Novant Health organization. The director establishes standard operating procedures and workflows, personnel management, preparation and administration of the revenue and expense budget.

The Director facilitates communication, coordination and collaboration among disciplines regarding identification, planning and provision of services for employees of Novant Health and select non-employee groups. Works collaboratively with leaders across the organization and entities under the Novant Health umbrella to ensure services are delivered efficiently, are cost effective and meet State and Federal requirements and recommendations as it pertains to employee health in a health care setting. The director ensures active and ongoing participation in Quality and Safety activities across the Novant Health organization. Responsible for the orientation, education, staff development and quality improvement of the Team Member Health program.

The Director of Team Member Health Operations will provide leadership in achieving ongoing quality, productivity, and efficiency in the TM Health Department. Manages diverse health services provided to employees, students, contractors and volunteers.

Job Relationships: Reports to and receives assignments from theVP HR operations.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

· Create and execute practical, scalable, and operational tasks. Work closely with team members to monitor and evolve practices for continuous process improvement.

· Manage day to day operations of all clinical team members for the market.

· Provide long-term planning for the department in terms of continuous improvement of services, better efficiency, and revenue opportunities.

· Develop, review and revise department policies and procedures.

· Track performance relative to the budget and assist with planning the budget for each year.

· Participate in hospital committees, meetings and conferences which pertain to EOH and promote growth for the department.

· Work with other departments throughout the organization to achieve and promote safety and wellness of employees.

· Maintain clinical and professional competency as appropriate for adult, adolescent and geriatric patients.

· Collaborates with the workers compensation program to achieve the best possible outcome for the client and organization.

· Provide ongoing and annual feedback on performance and identified leadership characteristics/behaviors. Assure staff competency requirements are met. Implement organizational policies and procedures pertaining to employee occupational health.

· Delegate management of processes to staff. Facilitates decision making within the Employee Occupational Health Department. Mentor staff in developing plans to achieve personal career goals.

· Continually improve processes and systems. Monitor core processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Manage the interdependence of processes both within and external to the Employee Occupational Health Department. Communicate the status of core processes/activities to leadership.

· Has full understanding of corporate strategies and must manage the diversity of needs and prioritize those needs based on the overall business strategy of the organization.
