We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Magnet Project Manager to join our Nursing Administration team. This position plays a vital role in planning, developing, and implementing initiatives that support a professional practice environment for nursing. The Magnet Project Manager will spearhead efforts in Magnet Recognition activities, shared governance, and staff leadership development, contributing to nursing excellence and advancing our mission to provide high-quality, compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Magnet Recognition Activities:

  • Lead, organize, and oversee Magnet designation and re-designation activities, including documentation, gap analysis, and application processes.

  • Collaborate with nursing leaders to align initiatives with Magnet standards and frameworks.

  • Shared Governance:

  • Facilitate the design and implementation of shared governance structures that promote collaboration, decision-making, and accountability within nursing teams.

  • Support councils and committees in achieving their goals and aligning with organizational objectives.

  • Leadership Development:

  • Identify opportunities to cultivate staff leadership and promote professional growth.

  • Coordinate and implement programs that empower nursing staff to lead quality improvement and practice innovation initiatives.

  • Project Management:

  • Develop and execute project plans with clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Monitor progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions to achieve project goals.

  • Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for Magnet principles and professional practice.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. B.S.N., required.Graduate Degree, preferred.

  • Experience:

  • Five years R.N. experience, required.

  • Two years clinical experience in acute care setting. Documented evidence of successful project management, required.

  • Familiarity with Magnet standards and professional practice environments highly preferred.

  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in appropriate state, required.

  • Additional Skills Required:

  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

  • Ability to write clearly and professionally.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint..
