State of Minnesota Human Services Technician in Willmar, Minnesota

Job Summary Job Summary The Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health Services (CABHS) program in Willmar is seeking a compassionate, person-centered Human Services Technician to join our team. As the Human Services Technician you will be assisting in providing treatment and instruction to patients of CABHS. This would include providing direct patient care, assisting with activitied of daily living (ADLs), ensuring patients needs are met, and actively participating in a multidisciplinary team. Other duties may include: * Assist with bathing, toileting, hygiene to ensure patients needs are met * Perform unit rounds * Participate in the admission process * Complete vital signs and report to licensed staff * Interact respectfully with all patients while establishing professional working relations and rapport Qualifications Minimum Qualifications To qualify, applicants must demonstrate their ability to read and write English sufficient to understand and follow directions and to maintain records and documentation, understand what they read, write sample reports, do basic arithmetic, and read and interpret charts and graphs, through successful completion of the following: * a comprehensive pre-employment interview; * a new employee orientation training program which may include, but is not limited to, medication administration, therapeutic intervention, first aid/CPR, introduction to the disability area in which the employee will be working, review of policies and procedures, specific information on clients, client programs, the Vulnerable Adult Act, data practices, sexual harassment, workplace violence, emergency procedures, client rights, and an on-the-job training experience; and * a formal probationary period. Applicant must also have human relations skills sufficient to establish rapport and provide direction to service recipients.
