Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Business Manager, will own the strategy, profit and loss and lead all aspects of the execution within the Primary Turkey Tom business. In this role, you will direct our team that designs and implements a comprehensive product marketing cycle. We seek a professional who will lead our team that will identify market potential, establish pricing and market strategies, estimate potential sales, champion cost saving initiatives and drive both top and bottom line growth within the overall primary turkey tom segment.
Lead all strategic initiatives within the Tom turkey portfolio (Case Ready, Value Add & Commodity)
Direct compiling and evaluating research on market product requirements and identify enhancements to current features and functionality.
Monitor program planning with customers to identify manufacturing schedules, goals, design criteria, costs and similar considerations.
Plan, organize and coordinate assigned complex programs to accomplish financial and budgetary goals.
Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of six years of related work experience
Ability to travel up to 25%
Three years of supervisory experience
Six years of experience in Business Management, Marketing, Sales or Business Development
Five years of experience as a multi-functional team leader with the ability to drive projects to closure
Ability to analyze, formulate and implement strategies and processes to significantly improve business performance and profitability
Ability to analyze financial performance to drive profitability
Ability to work in ambiguous environments and utilize active inquiry skills
Ability to influence at all levels within the organization
Ability to teach and coach others within and outside reporting relationships
Understanding of food industry/market/sales channels
Proficient in MS Office
