Citizens Credit Risk Analytics - Senior Professional in Westwood, Massachusetts

The Credit Risk Sr Professional will be responsible for managing key Credit Risk project execution across business areas. The incumbent will use modeling techniques to be able to build and optimize credit strategies, while staying on top of credit performance. Will assist in the management of Citizen's lending portfolio, implementing decision rules, underwriting models, strategies, and monthly reporting. Also have a keen attention to detail and be able to view and review every aspect of implementation with a critical eye and (with stakeholders’ help) employ rigorous testing measures, being able to understand and manage the credit risk that is being taken.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Understand, interpret, and maintain policies and/or strategies being recommended by product Credit leads and/or Credit Analysts.

  • Developing or overseeing the development of mathematical and statistical models for forecasting credit risks in a variety of situations.

  • Leverage expert process and credit knowledge to lead discussions with the cross functional teams, disseminate the essence of implementation tasks to stakeholders and influence implementation solution strategies; monitor and communicate the amount of credit risk taken.

  • Reviews individual loan files for compliance with underwriting and default management policy and procedure.

  • Provide an independent assessment of the quality, quantity, direction and overall credit risk in the organization through planned reviews.

  • Completes continuous monitoring of portfolios and ensures group results are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders through management presentations and reports.

Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of Consumer Lending Credit Risk experience – ideally aligned with Residential Mortgage/Home Equity lending.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a quantitative role utilizing statistical programing languages.

  • 5+ years Quantitative Skills – ability to develop and implement effective portfolio management routines that monitor key metrics, benchmark performance vs. peers, and identify emerging trends.

  • Expertise with Tableau required.

  • Expert level with at least 2 of the following technologies required: Excel, SQL, Python, R.

  • Ability to drive actionable outcomes from analytical insight and effectively communicate findings and recommendations to business leadership.

  • Exceptional problem-solving acumen with ability to think strategically.

  • Time Management – ability to prioritize competing assignments and thrive in a fast-paced results orientated environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline required (Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, etc.).

  • Masters/PhD in a quantitative discipline preferred.
