Citizens Business Banking Credit Product Manager II in Westwood, Massachusetts

As the Business Banking Credit Product Manager (CPM) you will act as the Credit Liaison for your assigned regions within Business Banking. The candidate will partner with Market Managers, Relationship Managers, Underwriters, Portfolio Managers, and Credit Officers to deliver a world class end-to-end credit experience for our clients. The Credit Products Manager (CPM) is a vital role supporting the coverage teams in sizing credit opportunities through but not limited to the following: DSCR/Fixed Charge analysis, Collateral Analysis, Tertiary Support, Sector Selection, and Fundamental Alignment to the Division’s Risk Strategy. A key pillar in this job function is the mentoring and coaching of Market Managers and Relationship Managers to develop the necessary skills to have an advisory led discussion. CPMs will ensure that deal teams have a firm understanding of the accounting nuances that impact a financial discussion along with key drivers that are tailored to bespoke industries by leveraging call pre-call planning tools to facilitate desired call outcomes. CPMs should develop their colleagues with an eye toward effective independence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in prospect and client calls

  • Assist in required pre-screens with the risk team as required; co-led when necessary

  • Co-Author term sheets as required

  • Ensure we have a complete and sound credit package prior to submission

  • Host and facilitate credit training workshops

  • Identify SBA opportunities where appropriate and work SMEs for proper structuring

  • Develop a cohesive strategy with the RM1 coverage teams on effective and ongoing wholesale credit management

  • Coach and support coverage teams with wholesale Watch process

  • Coach and assist sales teams in all aspects of the Credit process including needs analysis, screening loan requests, credit analysis, credit structuring, pricing, negotiations, and credit training

  • Represent business banking in credit related Committees and Group projects Coach, train, and provide guidance to ensure a consistent execution of Retail and Commercial credit policy and credit risk strategies and Serve as a subject matter expert on BCS processes and procedures

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Bachelors Degree required

  • 5+ years Business Banking credit experience

  • Prior background coaching teams

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Strong business acumen

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
