Position Purpose:

The Master Data Management Analyst will be responsible for input and analysis and reporting required to support the company’s master data needs. The MDM Analyst will conduct data analyses required to optimize vendor, customer, item, and other master data processes including those related to converting master data to other systems. The analyst will be responsible for gathering and validating all necessary data. As such, the analyst will need to foster relationships throughout the organization to gather data and an understanding of what the data means to the business.

This role is:

  • Responsible for master data integrity and relationships

  • Governs and maintains master data functionality across departments

  • Follows established policies and procedures to manage master data within SAP tables

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute reports analyzing current state and future opportunities related to master data.

  • Utilize historical internal data to gain a better understanding of master data needs.

  • Develop ideas and tools to improve usability of company’s internal data sources.

  • Develop ideas leading to continual improvement.

  • Lead analysis for visibility in master data discrepancies.

  • Responsible for data input, maintenance, validation, research, and business processes.

  • Perform all other ad-hoc reports required to support the company’s needs.

  • Ensures data accuracy is verified by performing data integrity and reasonability checks and by reporting on exceptions and causes.

  • Follows established business processes to create load files used for mass changes.

  • Cross team implementation of data objects, functionality, and/or business processes.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Desired Skills:

  • Analytics expert with strong conceptual problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in integrated ERP systems

  • Microsoft office tools, especially and including Excel

  • Experience working with master data, including vendors, customers, and items

  • Ability to pull disparate pieces of data together to form a coherent story.

  • Self-driven individual who is able to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.

  • An individual with intellectual curiosity who pushes to understand underlying issues.

  • Collaborative team player who can work across functions.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in database design and management, data analytics, or similar experience
