Position Summary We are seeking a Marketing Data Architect to join our analytics engineering team and provide data expertise as we scale our customer acquisition and retention efforts across the breadth of our product categories. This role will be responsible for working with stakeholders across marketing, product, and growth analytics teams to design and model data assets that will support impactful insights about our marketing campaign performance. As a Marketing Data Architect, you will assist in identifying, organizing, and analyzing internal and external sources of marketing and sales data, as well as acting as a subject manner expert within the analytics and engineering teams for those data sources. Your expert understanding of digital marketing systems and customer engagement platforms combined with your technical and analytical abilities will help shape our product and marketing investment strategies.

  • Collaborate with key growth stakeholders to understand and document their requirements around data and data preparation

  • Conduct exploratory analysis of marketing and sales data sources to understand and document data quality, availability, and completeness for those sources, with the ultimate goal of acting as a data SME on behalf of analytic consumers of that data

  • Develop a deep understanding of the combinations of data, technology, partners, data integrations and analytics that contribute to the marketing funnel

  • Use your understanding of Marketing Analytics use cases and data consumption patterns to help model feature sets to support complex data science use cases

  • Write SQL queries to profile marketing data sources as well as to help create, validate, and performance test new marketing data assets

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline

3+ years of experience working on analytics use cases, preferably in growth or media analytics, advertising sales, digital media or marketing analysis

Demonstrated strong SQL skills

Demonstrated experience using data modeling tools to develop logical and physical data models in support of analytics use cases

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience working with extremely large datasets

Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders of various levels from junior employees to senior management and external customers

Strong understanding of data science techniques and data preparation requirements

Analytical skills and intellectual curiosity required.

Hands-on experience in DMP or CDP development preferred

Direct experience with digital campaign operations and digital marketing strategy development

Have a working knowledge of tag management and KPIs used for tracking campaign performance. Experience with digital integrations across multiple technology vendors. Experience in data management & data governance a plus. Education

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$144,200.00 - $288,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
