Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Market Risk Analyst will identify, assess, and mitigate market risk. In this role, you will establish risk management procedures and processes to ensure adherence to policies and you will identify potential loss due to market movements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assimilate data from internal platforms to produce risk metrics day over day

  • Conduct market analysis to identify and assess risk requiring a deep understanding of market concepts and a thorough knowledge of a product or financial area, including market liquidity and volatility, pricing, trading and hedging strategies and marketing and origination.

  • Build and use models for options and derivatives trading to show the implied market risk.

  • Estimate the potential financial consequences of an occurring loss. Using industry standard metrics such as Value-at-Risk (VaR) and Stress

  • Prepare, review, and disseminate weekly risk meeting minutes with a focus on forward looking positions.

  • Execute long term projects with budgetary and timeline oversight.

  • You will work under minimal supervision and independently manage complex issues while referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Statistical analysis, data analytics, Power Bi, Tableau

  • Understanding of Python coding
