Job Purpose and Impact

The Management Accounting and Reporting Senior Analyst will execute commodity P&L reconciliations and financial analysis to explain business performance to multiple stakeholders at different levels of the organization. In this role, you will deliver financial analysis and reporting to enhance decision making and identifying financial metrics optimization opportunities. You will implement and manage internal controls across business segments for financial control, compliance, and risk management.

This role requires an advanced professional with broad financial analysis skills and will be the key point of contact to our commercial teams for any grain/product line trading analysis. The role provides the business with critical business drivers by analyzing data and making recommendations to our business partners on how to maximize business value.

Key Accountabilities

  • Apply accounting techniques and standard practices through delivery of timely, accurate and consistent financial management and reporting to identifying business insights and enhance decision making.

  • Identify inherit risks to financial reporting and implement appropriate controls according to Cargill standards and GAAP reporting

  • Partner with other finance teams to reconcile P&L estimates to ensure financial reporting accuracy, specifically with regards to grain/product margin accounting.

  • Assess and communicate information regarding initiatives, leveraging of shared services and improving the efficiency of finance operations with other Finance teams.

  • Estimate the potential increased revenue and reduced costs through collaboration with commercial teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and implement initiatives that provide value

  • Identify and implement process simplification, standardization, and automatization of data integrity to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Sophisticated financial analysis skills, or business intelligence experience

  • Ability to communicate, influence and build trust with partners at multiple levels in the organization- including international businesses

  • Confirmed ability to identify and assess risk.

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems SAP, Tableau, Power BI.

  • Trading business and risk management experience.

  • Experience leading and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrated experience in business partnering initiatives.

  • Experienced leveraging financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in decision making.
