Job Purpose and Impact
The Global External Diversity Equity and Inclusion Lead will provide expert knowledge and thought leadership to design diversity, equity and inclusion approaches, priorities and external partnership rubric to provide balanced, sustainable and effective philanthropic giving and community outreach for the organization. In this role, you will collaborate with sustainability, corporate responsibility and diversity suppliers sourcing to collectively contribute to broad societal change by thoughtfully investing in communities, increasing diversity in suppliers and working in tandem with customers and partner organizations to improve and sustain the company’s external brand as a leader in diversity, equity and inclusion.
Develop and integrate external diversity, equity and inclusion programs, policies, practices and processes, leveraging best practices to strengthen the organization’s capabilities globally and align to the organization's goals and strategies.
Influence change to internal and external diversity, equity and inclusion policies, practices, processes and programs, coaching and mentoring executive leaders on engagements related to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Act as a subject matter expert for human resource and business partners on the external landscape including affirmative action policies, social justice actions and upcoming regulations changes.
Influence the external environment by leading with industry experts on societal and government regulations with a key focus on increasing diversity in the available workforce.
Identify and sustain key external relationships with partners including government, university and community organizations for maximum benefit in building the organization’s external diversity, equity and inclusion brand and building a diverse talent pipeline.
Lead communication efforts which relate to activities and outcomes for the organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and programs including messaging on the company website, internal and external publications, regulatory reports, press releases and other key collateral materials.
Influence the external landscape by leading efforts to improve diversity in the workforce through equal opportunity actions and partner with community leaders on major initiatives to close the education opportunity gap.
Provide expert consultative guidance for initiating strategic long-range goals and objectives. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
Provide strategic thinking and execution; the ability to document a strategy for your overall responsibilities and lead the execution by creating necessary partnerships throughout the organization.

This position has a preferred location of Minneapolis/Wayzata but we will consider remote candidates, as well.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of eight years of related work experience
