Job Purpose and Impact

The Global Commercial Development Director will be responsible for driving commercial growth for Cargill's Biointermediates business. In this role, you will actively pursue and guide significant new business development opportunities for the biobased chemical intermediates market. You will partner with brand owners and customers in the supply chain to create demand for renewable and sustainable products where Cargill can provide solutions. You will help create and drive the strategy for Biointermediates market to create significant growth and will be responsible for full market and growth analysis, including key talent, customers and resources required for success.

Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable for development and commercial execution of large, complex new biobased chemical intermediatesproducts in strategic growth markets.

  • Responsible for developing business models, strategic partnerships and customer agreements that allow for the successful commercialization of the new products.

  • Utilize market insight and intelligence to identify and develop product opportunities from both a market back and technology forward perspective.

  • Lead, shape and develop the innovation pipeline and program within the category and collaborate with research and development to deliver good outcomes lead or participate in other business development and strategy projects as required.

  • Identify and develop business case for building the necessary capabilities to deliver the future value proposition.

  • Responsible for overall volume and margin growth of the global category.

  • Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and budgeting. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Market research and analytical and financial analysis skills

  • Confirmed experience in project management, business development, commercial management or mergers and acquisitions

  • Minimum of eight years of related work experience, five years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business administration, finance or related field

  • Validated ability to deliver business results through matrix and virtual, geographically diverse teams

  • Proven ability to motivate change in complex organization with contending priorities

  • Business experience, preferably in commercial, business development or strategic marketing

  • Experience of developing and delivering full marketing plans from strategic to operational elements and commercializing new products or solutions
