Commercial Excellence Associate 2023
The Commercial Excellence (CE) Center of Expertise (COE) is a global organization that builds commercial capabilities and designs best practices across enterprises to accelerate customer-driven growth. The CE COE operates across seven different priority areas: Route-to-Market Strategy, Customer and Consumer Insights, Strategic Pricing, Digital Customer Experience, Sales Operations and Enablement, Marketing and Brand, and Commercial Talent.
The CE COE puts customers at the center of the way we work. The CE COE responds to market disruption with bold thinking and transformational approaches, leveraging Cargill’s global expertise to drive change cross-enterprise by developing and scaling commercial capabilities and mindsets of the future.
The CE COE Associate works closely with CE COE global leaders and advisors to support development and advancement of global best practices and strategies for commercial capability building. As part of the CE COE, Associates will help set the standard for commercial excellence across our businesses and regions, making Cargill better than the sum of its parts by:

The CE COE Associate’s contributions will help Cargill reach new levels of maturity and effectiveness to win in our global markets and with our customers.
Lead and support development of global commercial best practices and capabilities, aligned with CE initiatives and priorities, that will generate near-term value and long-term organic, customer-driven growth for Cargill
Advise and partner with businesses and enterprises on commercial ecosystem transformation efforts and CE capability-building projects – from strategy, planning, and design through implementation, activation, and sustainment; support delivery of commercial capabilities and future state organizations in line with broad business and CE strategic objectives
Work with stakeholders across the CE COE and Cargill broadly to understand commercial dependencies, problem-solve, build relationships, refine approaches, synthesize learnings, and develop globally consistent but locally relevant solutions that scale effectively to deliver strategic and commercial value across businesses, regions, and enterprises

Flexibility to work remotely as needed
Pursuing an MBA or relevant Master’s degree with anticipated graduation date in December 2022 or Spring/Summer 2023
Ability to manage a diverse set of stakeholders toward a defined set of objectives
Strong attention to detail and a laser-like focus on value capture
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills, including working with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds
Strong critical thinking abilities, including the ability to develop strong logical hypotheses and confidently take ideas from concept to action
High sense of accountability, strong comfort in ambiguity, and a drive to create meaningful structure in broad context
Strong desire to learn
2-4 years of relevant professional experience in commercial functions, organizational strategy, and/or food/agriculture
Experience navigating complex, global organizations
Experience working with international stakeholders
Previous Cargill internship experience
