Job Purpose and Impact

This role will be a participant in the Starches, Sweeteners & Texturizers North America Commercial Development Program, an opportunity to accelerate foundational skill building and growth of commercial acumen through a guided early commercial career path including a variety of role and project assignments, mentorship, and formal learning over the course of three to four years depending on experience.

The Commercial Development Program - Strategic Pricing Analyst will help prepare and leverage pricing models and/or tools to perform ongoing market analysis and pricing execution. In this role, you will partner with key stakeholders to work towards optimal pricing decisions by following the guidance of senior team member(s). You will be the primary contact for selected pricing systems and tools supporting various product lines within the business. Utilizing best pricing practices and procedures, you will help optimize value for multiple products or sites and create moderately complex analysis of the data.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align pricing strategy, profitability goals and expectations and provide data and pricing experience to answer questions, resolve pricing discrepancies and assist with creating individual market approaches as needed.

  • Analyze current trend and performance data and provide recommendations for pricing strategy improvements.

  • Support market and competitor landscape analytics to deliver market insights to business stakeholders.

  • Perform ongoing analysis and complete pricing models to provide valuable inputs to decision makers to assist the agile response to market competition to gain pricing opportunities.

  • Support pricing process implementation, including facilitating pricing decision meetings and executing pricing models and tools.

  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Ability to interpret and work with data to provide analysis

  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or other post-secondary degree

  • Experience with current analysis software

  • Previous pricing experience
