Job Purpose and Impact

The CIF - Corn Trader will be the trading domain specialist for the U.S. Center Gulf corn export market. In this role, you will independently generate income and control risks by performing more complex trading work, with a higher risk tolerance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Apply a deep comprehension of trading practices and procedures to develop and execute the long term trading strategies and books for a specific commodity, market or customer based on speculative and hedged positions.

  • Monitor our team’s profit and loss on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

  • Independently handle and monitor higher trading positions and exposures.

  • Work with strategic brokers, customers and agents, as needed, to manage and monitor higher risk trading positions.

  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience merchandizing corn and other agriculture commodities

  • Experience managing agricultural export programs

  • Experience managing freight market risk
