Tyson Foods B-Harvest Production Supervisor in Waterloo, Iowa

B Shift (United States of America)

Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

Duties/Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities

Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders.

Ensure every position is filled before start-up of production line.

Ensure all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible, ensuring all workstations have passed USDA Inspection.

Promote safety daily as well as through monthly safety meetings.

Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.

Provide encouragement to Team Members to build the best team possible.

Must have the ability to perform the human relations functions including training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.

Oversee various processing operations and work with other supervisors to solve problems, keep records of reworked or returned product, provide continuous education on the importance of quality.

Other duties as assigned.

Basic computer skills helpful.Must have strong communication skills.Travel: 1-5 trips per year.

Requirements:

Must have 1+ years prior work experience in Fresh Meats beef or pork processing.High school diploma or equivalent is required. Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.
