CVS Health Pharmacy Technician - Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

CVS health has an exciting new opportunity as a Pharmacy Technician on our CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy team. The team specializes in MS, Oncology, Hepatitis, HIV, Rheumatology, Dermatology, and Transplant and Gastrointestinal diseases. As part of the team, you will be leading an innovative and bold initiative aimed at transforming health care and pharmacy leveraging new and emerging information, technologies and channels. You will be essential to ensuring medication has been filled correctly and be responsible for accurately entering prescription information as needed. You will also be asked to contact patients to arrange delivery or set a pickup date, perform refill reminder calls, accurately fill medication orders, prepare orders for delivery, packing/shipping medication orders via various carriers for final delivery to the patient, maintaining adequate inventory, managing inventory functions, helping walk-in customers, performing cash register transactions. The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am-2pm. We’re seeking someone who can work our 9:30AM - 6:00PM shift, Monday - Friday and rotate Saturdays once every two months.We offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision insurance as well as a wide-ranging list of supplemental benefits and discount programs. Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician or in a clinically-based customer service representative role.- Must have active/pending registration as a pharmacy technician with the District of Columbia (Washington DC) Board of Pharmacy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish)- Previous Retail environment.- Previous Customer Service experience. - Previous Prior Authorization experience.


  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
