The Role: HR Generalist

Based in Washington DC, we are in search of an experienced HR Generalist who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise. He or she will assist in providing a wide range of HR support and advice. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on recruitment, performance management, employee relations and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Implement and administer employee policies

  • Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues

  • Manage the Recruiting Lifecycle including sourcing quality candidates

  • Support the organization in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates

  • Identify ways to improve policies and procedures

  • Prepare termination and severance letters

  • Manage company benefits administration

  • Provide various duties in regards to office management

  • Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.

  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Required Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor?s Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline

  • 7+ years? experience in HR

  • Expertise in HR policies and procedures

  • Strong knowledge of hiring processes

  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations

  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills

  • HR Start-up experience in a technology environment

  • Demonstrate a high level of flexibility in an ambiguous environment

  • Service-oriented, with high level of professionalism and discretion

  • Familiarity with Google suite

  • Excellent communication skills\
