The Electricity Transmission Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system is critical to the safe, secure, and economic operation of the England and Wales electricity transmission system.
As Transmission SCADA Instructor you’ll be responsible for delivering engineer user training and managing related training materials for the NGET SCADA system, as well as supporting System Managers and training planning policy and processes.
Managing the training plans within the Transmission Network Control and project delivery teams, you’ll also support with Training simulator updates, scenario building and testing and maintaining the simulator calculations. You’ll process validity checks and coordinate change activities for the simulator.
In addition, you’ll ensure that the SCADA training team has a reliable and tested business continuity plan in place that meets NGET’s requirements.
This role is based out of our offices in Warwick and can be combined with hybrid working from home.
What you'll need
With a STEM Qualification preferably in an electrical or computer science field, you’ll be an experienced Engineering instructor, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers.
Computer literate, experienced with power point and MS office, you’ll have a consistent and methodical approach to tasks, demonstrating good attention to detail and high accuracy.
You’ll ideally have a good understanding of electrical power systems, project management experience and Engineering Document creation update and review.
