Systems Analyst - Warwick with travel to UK Interconnector sites (hybrid working)

That’s why we're recruiting two Systems Analysts.

As a Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the management of our Operational Technology (OT) and local IT at one of our Interconnector sites based in either the North or South – site visits will be required on a fortnightly basis.

The NGV Systems Analysts will work in a product owner/service manager capacity to ensure regulatory compliance, system security and resilience of the Operational Technology. As the primary point of contact for all site and control room OT/Cyber related activity, you will develop strong working relationships with site teams and system suppliers.

Working closely with suppliers and site engineers, you will facilitate the successful delivery of changes and maintenance in a controlled, consistent manner by ensuring all activities are well planned and clearly communicated to all impacted stakeholders and participants. This will incorporate asset management and documentation updates. You will also utilise your specialisms to support project activity. This could include taking ownership of deliverables which support the development and improvement of technology, processes and ways of working.

These role are based from Warwick and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home. You'll also be flexible to travelling to our UK Interconnector sites as required.

What you'll be getting up to

You will be responsible for ensuring that the systems under your purview meet operational and compliance requirements and act as a second line of assurance for one of the other areas. Ensuring systems and their data comply with policy and are maintained and updated in accordance with policy, working closely with the OT engineers, architects and system owners/users.

  • Responsible for delivering design changes and system updates that meet business requirements.

  • Policy / Standards adherence at a system/supplier level.

  • Supplier management (supported by the contracts team).

  • Ensuring suppliers and systems are compliant with appropriate cyber security standards.

  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery plan development and testing.

  • Responsibility for management and design of applicable system network.

  • Custodian of the system designs, documentation and configuration.

  • Data steward for applicable system data.

  • Manage application testing requirements (UAT (User Acceptance) supported by the end-users).

  • Bug and issue management and resolution.

  • Develop and support user training and system documentation.

About you

An ideal candidate will be willing to learn different systems and support the team, having experience on delivering projects with a diverse range of stakeholders would be preferable as the ability to clearly communicate over a diverse range of knowledge bases is required.

  • Experience working with Operational Technology or IT.

  • IEC62443 or ISO27001 experience would be preferable but are not required.

  • Experience in operational resilience.

  • Change / Project management.

  • Risk management.

  • Stakeholder management.

  • Supplier management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
