National Grid Project Development Engineer - Cyber in Warwick, United Kingdom

At National Grid, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Project Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Asset Operations business. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplined development team who are responsible for all the steps before a project goes in to delivery and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Cyber Security investments.

As a Project Development Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our projects, overseeing the setup, option selection, and development of Cyber Security initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the scheme team during pre-construction phases, ensuring timely stakeholder engagement and agreement on investment selections.

• Aligning project activities with National Grid's Security Risk Framework and corporate Cyber Security Strategy.

• Developing optimal, efficient, and safe solutions while adhering to CDM Regulations and SHESQ considerations.

• Conducting site assessments, cost estimations, and supporting the tendering process to ensure successful project delivery.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to monitor and control the portfolio of Cyber investments, providing accurate financial forecasting.

Must haves:

We are looking for candidates who possess:

• Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline, or relevant experience.

• Proven pre construction Project Management experience including time, cost and risk management.

• CDM, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation proficiency.

• Strong stakeholder management skills and a stakeholder-centric approach.

Desirable

• Electricity Transmission knowledge.

• Cyber security knowledge – NIST / CAF.

• NEC4 project management accreditation, APMPMQ, Prince2.

Pay and Benefits

• Starting salary £51,899 to £60,000 pa + £4,500 pa Market supplement.

• 37 hours Monday – Friday.

• 26 days annual leave plus 8 statutory days.
