National Grid is hiring a Contract Coordinator for our Customer Connections Team based in Warwick.

About the role

This role is crucial in connecting customers to the high voltage transmission system in England and Wales and turning the UK’s net zero ambitions into reality.

The Contract Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Contracts Team within Customer Management in delivering against their connection offer licence obligations. This will include supporting Contract Managers where required, processing new and modification applications in our CRM system and facilitating offer governance cycles to remain compliant.

What you'll do

  • Providing support to the Offer process and Post Offer tracking, assisting Connections Team in fulfilling our contract obligations.

  • Help to facilitate the various different processes, such as the Asset Replacement Process to ensure we meet our obligations.

  • Manage the teams Governance procedures, coordinating between the Customer Connections and Regional Connections teams.

  • Maintain and update as necessary the team’s procedural documents (SOP’s etc).

  • Ensure the storage of contractual documentation is delivered in accordance with National Grid’s standards.

  • Accountable for providing and co-ordinating the data submissions in licenced reports to Ofgem concerning connection applications.

  • Contribute towards improving our data management, in line with our data BMS (Business Management Standard).

  • Reviewing data quality through our application process in CRM, and assisting Connections and Regional Connections teams to maintain and improve the level of data quality within our core system.

  • Help in managing the relevant Share Point site, so information is both easily accessible, relevant and managed in line with our Data BMS standard.

  • Coordinate charging and TO Final Sums bi-annual submission, which feed into Customer liabilities and securities.

What you'll need

  • Experience working independently and taking initiative

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels

  • Proven computer literacy with the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet packages to at least intermediate standard is essential (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience of working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool

  • Experience of working in a transactional environment, delivering outputs to tight timescales whilst maintaining accuracy

  • Knowledge of UK electricity transmission business preferred but not essential
