We're expanding our HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) capability and building a new, dedicated team to power the Great Grid Upgrade. Flexible on location you'll be based at either Warwick, Leeds, Bristol or West Weybridge with hybrid working.
You’ll join the Asset Engineering Assurance team who are responsible for assuring the quality of engineering work completed on all the assets on the high voltage electricity network across England and Wales. Enabling a multi-billion pound capital plan to be technically assured, resilient against cyber threats, and enabling net zero.
As Asset Engineering Assurance Manager - HVDC you will lead and develop a team of technical and equipment specialists that provides expert engineering input and assurance for HVDC at all relevant stages of the investment process to ensure the delivered solutions meet the expected standards and specifications. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the relevant engineering standards, policies and processes are aligned with the Asset Management Strategy, regulatory requirements and industry benchmarks.

Must have
• Excellent people leader skills – building a team to circa 10 – 12 reports.
• HVDC experience with HVDC interconnectors, HVDC Link, FACTS or different types of converter technology, such as Line Commutated Converters (LCC) or Voltage Source Converters (VSC).
• Proven Change management, Risk management and Project management experience.
• Experience of UK power industry standards, structures, policies, regulations & market fundamentals.
Pay and Benefits
• Starting salary up to £84,000 pa + Excellent Benefits Package + Training and Development + Company Car.
