Job purpose:

Ensuring that all exchange traded derivative and contracts for differences instruments are accounted for and valued correctly within the accounting system and that all required monitoring and reporting requirements are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.

Key responsibilities:

  • To reconcile all exchange traded derivative (ETD) products between fund accounting and the clearing brokers – position, valuation & margin for all clients ensuring timely and accurate NAV production

  • Perform daily Contracts for Difference (CFD), futures and options reconciliations between fund accounting and brokers, providing sign-off to Valuation teams

  • Prepare daily journals for e.g. margin, accrued interest, stock loan fees and other journals

  • Process monthly CFD reset and the related journals and complete checks

  • Monitor futures/options nearing expiry and ensure they are correctly accounted

  • Perform capital/revenue splits for futures and options

  • Produce month end reports for the clients and reporting teams

  • Carry out investigative work as necessary

  • Ensure internal and external deadlines are achieved and produce complete and accurate outputs

  • Ensure existing procedures are up-to-date and identify improvements in procedures

  • Develop strong, pro-active working relationships with all internal and external customers, co-ordinating remote teams and external vendors

  • Collaborate on projects within Derivatives and the wider Shared Service area on behalf of the organisation

  • Complying with Citi culture and policy in daily work

  • All additional tasks related to the operational area, requested by the Supervisor

  • Acquiring and maintaining required level of knowledge and skills about processes and legal regulations in employee working environment

  • Providing control, review and approval of processes, operational procedures, reports and daily work of other team members

  • Identifying and reporting operational risk to line manager

  • Analysis, identification and introducing of potential improvements resulting in improvement of operational risk at the team level

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of financial markets

  • Minimum 1-2 years working experience in institutions linked to financial markets

  • Very good knowledge of English

  • Ability to self-organize and manage time effectively

  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines

  • Analytical skills and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to build trust and cooperation between various stakeholders

  • MS Office environment knowledge
