Biogen Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting Systems in Warsaw, Poland

This role will serve as the primary subject matter expert for selected Oracle Accounting Modules (primarily GL and PA), Oracle systemic allocation processes, and Blackline. This role will focus on the management of Oracle modules for financial close as well as Blackline.

This role is in hybrid work model with off-campus option. 

Please note that this role requires a candidate to be a holder of work permit & residency in Poland.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support processes that ensure the integrity, governance and consistency of the Company’s financial data from transaction through reporting, including ensuring the timely and accurate completion of our month-end close and consolidation.

  • Schedule and monitor programs needed for month-end close and reporting within Oracle EBS.

  • Generate and distribute consolidated financial statements to global users upon completion of consolidation.

  • Perform systematic validation between Oracle and Hyperion upon completion of each consolidation.

  • Upload foreign exchange rates and maintain historical rate tables within Oracle.

  • Other system support, as necessary, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Manage the month-end and exception handling process related to US Project Accounting.

  • Participate in testing of financial reports as a part of new entity / ledger Oracle implementation.

  • Perform system administrative functions in Blackline including ensuring Oracle information properly interfaces with Blackline.

  • Execute Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) activities related to month-end translation and consolidation.

  • Maintain ledgers, allocation definitions, cross validation, security rules, and access control in Oracle at a global level.

  • Maintain Chart of Account definition guide for Corporate Accounting.

  • Serve as backup for master data requests processed through internally developed Financial Information Governance (FIG) system.

  • Serve as key contributor to trainings related to Oracle General Ledger and Blackline.

  • Partake in various cross-functional process improvement projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Technology/Systems, or related discipline.

  • 3-5 years of first-hand experience Oracle EBS, Hyperion or Blackline.

  • Experience with month-end close and consolidation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to see issues to resolution independently.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels across global organization.

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities at same time and work under tight timeline.

  • Fluency in English.
