Citigroup Risk - Program and Governance Manager - SVP in Warsaw, Poland

The Risk Governance function within the Chief Operating Office of Independent Risk Management is responsible for activities ranging from firm-wide frameworks, processes, and practices that are integral and fundamental to Risk Management. This includes designing and facilitating the execution of core Risk frameworks and processes (e.g., New Product Approval, Product Governance, Risk Governance / Appetite Frameworks), facilitating the execution of key processes that enable monitoring and management of risks (i.e., Risk Controls) and associated stakeholder interaction (e.g., Regulatory Affairs), and the oversight and execution of critical strategic and cross-Risk initiatives. The Program Manager will drive and support the business leads for ICG, to continue implementing the business specific frameworks and guidelines, enabling execution and oversight of updated end-to-end product approval and governance processes, within targeted timeframes, and prepare presentations for senior management.   The PMO team will work together to drive a consistent approach in implementing the overall frameworks, with regular sharing of learnings and best practices between the project implementation partners, across the different business lines. The Program and Governance Manager, reports into the NPA Program Manager Lead and support various project teams. Responsibilities : Drive and support the implementation of strategic solutions, processes, and new frameworks that enhance the NPA process in ICG Support the execution of remediation with timely and effective outcomes against regulatory expectations Partner with Program and Governance teams to ensure EMEA initiatives and implementation are in line with global goals Support NPAC team members in the planning, directing and coordination of re-engineering activities Support the oversight and implementation of one or more project teams Design pilot, including tools and templates, business / region specific training and implementation plans Incorporate lessons learned and update documentation. Ensure strong ongoing engagement by the Business and Functions that participate in the product approval and governance process in ICG Update on-going reports providing metrics and updates for monitoring progress and updates to senior management Create ad hoc reports and presentations, as necessary, for socialization and periodic updates.   Develop presentations on remediation strategy and status updates to be presented to the Regulators and Citi’s senior management Synthesize key findings and recommendations into clear and succinct presentations for senior management as well as to various other internal & external forums. Develop strong working relationships and effectively partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization (business & functions) to accomplish goals. Escalate program risks to the Program Manager, when appropriate. Development Value: The position provides the opportunity to be part of a significant re-engineering effort of a global process for Citi with an active engagement across multiple business lines and regions.  The Program Manager will have unparalleled organizational exposure, with visibility into new product and service initiatives for EMEA and extensive interaction with Seniors in the ICG Businesses, Risk, and Functions.      Qualifications: Extensive years+ relevant experience Sound knowledge of relevant Citi or Banking Industry businesses and products and their risk profile and ability to apply this knowledge to specific situations Experience in a role that requires  problem solving, analytical capabilities, some strategic thinking, project and / or process management, and approvals / exposure to transactions Previous experience supporting complex firm-wide projects or processes with proven success Understanding of Citi’s businesses and products and their risk profiles across multiple geographies Understanding and experience in Risk & Controls and / or Reporting roles in banking Solid organizational skills, ability to multi-task and identify issues. Excellent interpersonal skills while working across multiple functions and teams. Ability to build effective internal and external networks Experience working with multi-functional partners and internal stakeholders, with excellent written and verbal communication skills Solid organizational and time management skills; ability to work under pressure will be critical Willingness to "roll up sleeves"; tireless work ethic Ability to communicate clearly, to think and act independently, and to know when to ask for guidance from more experienced officers or specialists Ability to evaluate, negotiate, structure and / or monitor various aspects of project work-streams Integrity, honesty, sound judgment, common sense, and attention to detail Education: Undergraduate / Master’s degree(s) with an analytical focus (e.g. finance, economics, engineering, mathematics etc.) Valuing Diversity: Demonstrates an appreciation of a diverse workforce.
