Job Description

The Product Governance team is tasked with being the main point of contact for any Compliance or Governance new initiatives ensuring they are the voice of the product team and that any changes are swiftly and successful rolled out to the Product team.

Reporting to the European Head of Product Governance the individual is responsible for developing, training and monitoring the risk management processes held within the product team. The role will be to create and promote effective processes and support the Head of Product Governance in compiling and analyzing data to ensure compliance to US Bank and External Policies.

They will help ensure Product solutions and colleagues adhere to, and are trained on, the relevant regulations that impact the product area and ensure correct processes and procedures are in place and implemented.

  • Creating and monitoring of new processes for management of Risk and Controls

  • Management and tracking of required Risk and Governance reporting on an ongoing basis to include: Third Party Risk Management, Controls, Procedures, Business Change, Issues, Errors and Legal Requests

  • Supporting product team in creation and monitoring of procedures and ownership of Governance teams procedures

  • Oversight of UK Consumer Duty regulations

  • Management of team shared mailbox

  • Provide regular updates to Head of Product Governance and European Product Leaders on Risk & Governance KPI’s

  • Provide in-house training to product team on risk and governance requirements

  • Pro-actively work with all product functions to identify gaps in processes

  • Build good relationships and networks across relevant business stakeholders

  • Support on other tasks for the Head of Product Governance where required

The individual needs to be dynamic self-starter, who thrives and functions with a high degree of autonomy and demonstrates an ability to be extremely versatile.

  • Experience in Controls and Risk Governance processing

  • Experience in Procedure creation

  • Basic understanding of UK Consumer duty

  • Payment Industry Knowledge - good knowledge of the payment industry

  • Fluent in English

  • Ability to rollout training on new processes

  • Flexible, proactive and quick to learn

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Demonstrated success defining and launching successful processes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally

  • Good excel skills

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
