Biogen Medical Manager International Partner Markets in Warsaw, Poland

The International Partner Markets (IPM) TA Medical Manager will be strategic for gaining medical insights across MS & NMD ( SMA & ALS)  to support IPM medical and addressing the medical need in IPM and help prepare ort he anticipated introduction of new medicines in the Partners portfolio. The IPM consists of several regions in which  Biogen does not have an own affiliate and operates through partners or via a Hybrid model. Thus, building a strong trust-based relationships with Biogen’s distributor partners and leading the effective collaboration with their medical function is of key importance.

What you'll do

  • Provide thought-partnership and alignment with partners on priorities, medical plans and tactics across MS & NMD (SMA/ALS)

  • Ensure partners have the skill set and capabilities to drive medical excellence through onboarding, resources sharing & strategic guidance.

  • Align with IPM CFT to ensure a consistent one Biogen voice to the NMD/MS vision, strategy, tactics, and interpretation of customer insights.

  • Support development and strategic execution of Medical Plan (Pre-launch, Launch, and integrated customer planning) and ensure alignment with ICOE/Global teams.

  • Implement medical initiatives aligned with IPM strategy, within agreed timelines and budget (Hybrid models, Expansion markets)

  • Lead Biogen medical trainings for partners with the support of Biogen medical training departments and ensure consistent understanding and implementation of the scientific narrative.

  • Facilitate the respective processes for medical information requests, Access mechanisms, patient support programs (PSP) and patient advocacy groups (PAGs).  

  • Support footprint and portfolio expansion via appropriate leveraging of scientific engagement, disease awareness, data interpretation and harnessing customer insights.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional Biogen departments, including Global and BIR/ICoE teams, IPM Business Operations, IPM V&A, IPM Finance and Medical Business Operations (MBO), IPM Marketing and data analytics

  • Contribute to the set-up of the IPM medical roadmap and strategy

  • Provide support, guidance, Thought-partnership and alignment with  the partners on the medical strategy- Ensure partners have the skill set and capabilities to drive medical excellence

  • Support in IPM medical clinical study monitoring and status updates)-  Support development of KME profiling and mapping for KME medical engagement in expansion markets 

  • Support better understanding of current local challenges and clinical practice needs for  MS & SMA/ALS patients via partner and KME discussions.

Qualifications

  • MD/PhD/Science degree

  • 3+ years’ experience working in medical role in Neuroscience/Rare Disease / NMD /MS

  • Experience at Affiliate and/or above market level sufficient (working with multiple markets, regions, and countries)

  • Experience with partner markers is preferred

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Collaborative and cross-functional mindset.

  • Demonstrates cultural awareness and interpersonal sensitivity.

  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Ability to optimize and allocate limited resources effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and execution across multiple markets

  • Strong influencing and leadership skills with proven ability to lead internal teams including (IPM CFT, ICoEs, Global teams ) and external teams ( Partners)

  • Skilled in managing group dynamics and resolving conflicts.

  • Strategic mindset, with demonstrable ability to identify critical gaps in either data or patient journey and propose tactics to address these.
