Biogen Associate Director Finance, Biosimilars in Warsaw, Poland

About This Role

This position will be responsible for executing monthly forecasting, annual planning and long-range planning processes, performance reporting and analysis and ad hoc analyses to support decision making for the Biosmilars business unit. This role will also will be a key Finance partner to Europe Commercial VP to manage the region and ensure strategically sound decision making.

What you will do

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Monitoring of ongoing business performance against objectives and monthly results reporting and KPIs

  • Provide meaningful insights on financial results, risks and opportunities on a monthly and quarterly basis

  • Preparing monthly/quarterly results materials

  • Ad Hoc Monthly reporting and analysis as needed

Annual Planning, Monthly Forecasts, Long range planning

  • Full execution of forecasting processes, ensuring detailed workflow/calendars are maintained and appropriate stakeholders are involved

  • Consolidation and analysis of forecasts and preparation of review materials for alignment with senior leadership

Finance Partnership and P&L management

  • P&L management and support financial target setting that aligns to Europe & Canada strategy and goals

  • Supports decision making through robust analyses

  • Finance partnership to Commercial VP for Europe and Canada to manage the region and ensure strategically sound decision making

  • Ad hoc analyses and scenario planning to better understand business performance along with action recommendations for change of course if needed

  • Support product launches

Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP)

  • Represent Europe and Canada on S&OP forums

  • Ad hoc analysis as needed

Required skills

  • Minimum 10-12 years experience in financial planning and analysis with a focus on strategic decision support

  • Bachelor / Master degree in Business, Economics or Finance. Professional certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus

  • Biotech/Pharma experience is a must

  • Proven track record in business partnering and providing analytics to support commercial operations and decision making

  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders

  • Ability to interact with and build productive working relationships with senior leaders and cross functional teams

  • Detail oriented and ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Combination of affiliate and headquarter experience is a plus

  • Expert knowledge of relevant accounting and financial concepts and principles

  • Strong systems knowledge, with a focus on Hyperion/Essbase/Oracle

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Fluent business level English is a pre-requisite with other European languages as a plus
