Ascension Health Operations Coordinator - Materials Management in Warren, Michigan

Join our Material Mangement Team as an Operation Coordinator. Full-time located at Ascension Macomb Hospital - Warren, MI

Hours of operation, typically Mon-Sun 6am-6pm. Ideally this position would be 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. Monday - Friday (May vary). Some weekends and holidays.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension-MI, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for daily operations for supply and inventory control; You will also investigate, troubleshoot and resolve inventory issues/problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs audit and logistical duties for supply and inventory control.

  • Responsible for inventory storeroom levels and financial variance.

  • Execute product conversions within the enterprise resource planning system. Maintains item attributes in the ERP system.

  • Supports distribution and daily supply operations to ensure no disruptions occur that will negatively impact patient care.

  • Ensures stock expiration is minimized with adherence to stock rotation guidelines and best practices.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Preferred Credential(s):

  • Certification specializing in Lean Healthcare Mgmt..

  • Fellow specializing in Production & Inventory Mgmt.

Education:

  • Diploma

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Experience and skillets:

  • Supply and inventory control experience

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Technology Ready - Google G Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and Smartphone Fluent

  • Able to work both sitting down and standing up for extended periods of time

  • High level of detailed accuracy

  • Able to work both by themselves and in a team setting
