About The Role

The New England Vice President of Gas Resource Management will lead the development of comprehensive long and short-term resource management strategies and implementation plans to improve operating efficiency and reduce expenses, minimize downtime, ensure safety and regulatory compliance for the NE Gas Business. She/he is responsible for developing a cost-effective resource management plan to support field transport and delivery, key objectives, resources and milestones required by the plan. This position provides counsel, tools and systems to the NE Region in elevating strategic vision and objectives for the resource management. The executive works collaboratively with functional leaders to optimize operating efficiency and ensure execution plan is aligned with financial, regulatory and legislative objectives.

Key Accountabilities

As part of this critical role your accountabilities will include:

  • Enabling 18-month workload and resource plan down to on the day scheduling and dispatch.

  • Developing the NE Gas resource management programs and implementation plans to align with business and financial objectives, regulatory and legislative mandates, including resource planning, resource coordination, field scheduling, work support and emergency dispatch.

  • Enhancing operating performance, including standardizing resource approvals and allocations and using local resources and scheduling work locally.

  • Establishing partnership with local leadership teams to ensure understanding, support of and alignment with National Grid business priorities.

  • Managing reliable data collection.to driven down cost and reduce downtime in support of cost-effective transport and delivery.

  • Requesting workflows for instilling resource governance, including managing dependency resources, permits, maps and records.

  • Increasing agility with what-If scenario planners to adjust resources when plans or priorities change.

  • Ensuring ROI of the deployed resources through tracking, including tracking and tracing budgets versus actuals, mobile time tracking and capitalization of labor cost.

About You

We are looking for experienced candidates who possess the following:

  • Excellence in championing, monitoring and continual improvement in meeting group KPIs.

  • Extensive experience in gas resource management, gas supply and utility, field operations and jurisdictional regulatory frameworks.

  • Proven executive capabilities to lead, motivate and develop required departmental capabilities and future leaders.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze and prioritize a broad range of issues coupled with strong decision-making skills.

  • Exceptional problem solving and strategic skills.

  • Significant project management skills to assess scope, risks, effectiveness, and financial impacts.

  • Skilled in risk management, process control, governance and dealing with ambiguity.

  • Ability to stay current and anticipate future challenges and recommend appropriate action.

  • Knowledge and experience in resource planning and the downstream impact on field operations.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or engineering with an advanced business degree preferred (MBA) and at least ten (10) years of business and/or supervisory experience.

Salary: Circa $218,000 - $326,000 a year.
