National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst, Process and Performance Improvement for Massachusetts. Northboro MA, Waltham MA, Hybrid. Ability to travel throughout our service territory for critical meetings where face to face interaction is of high value.

Job Purpose

National Grid is hiring a Data Analyst and Senior Data Analyst for NE Electric in the Asset Systems & Data team.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead complex projects. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations that drive business decisions.

Some of our key projects right now are around improving asset data quality to inform asset risk frameworks for a smarter, stronger, cleaner network; performing deep dive analytics against National Grid’s Snowflake data lake; and creating dynamic dashboards to enable more self-service data driven decisions. Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and manage complex analytical projects from inception to completion.

  • Develop and implement advanced analytical models to solve business problems.

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Present findings and insights to senior management and other key stakeholders.

  • Mentor and guide junior analysts in their professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an analytical role.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel).

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Some experience working with Spatial Data,

  • Experience with ESRI’s tool stack would be a plus: ArcGIS Pro, AGOL, Arc Server

More Information

Salary - $98,000 - $115,000

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
