Job Purpose
National Grid is looking for a Senior Analyst to support the Massachusetts’ Gas System Enhancement Plan, (GSEP). Working with several company departments, this position is responsible for assisting in the development of the annual GSEP plan to replace leak prone gas main, monitor and report out on the plan’s progress and prepare the annual reconciliation filing submitted to the Department of Public Utilities, (DPU). The successful candidate may also be tasked with supporting other Gas Investment Planning projects or reports as needed.
Key Accountabilities
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Act as a liaison for internal customers of the program.
Prepare the required documentation for the annual GSEP Reconciliation Compliance filing submitted to the Department of Public Utilities.
Generate and distribute several reports with different cadences to report to the business on the program’s performance.
Work with other business units (i.e. Field Operations, Resource Coordination) in building the resource loaded work plan and ensure the completion of it on budget.
Build upon professional skills in the areas of leadership, communications, stakeholder engagement, driving culture change and performance, and technical skills (e.g. generating reports in Excel and relational databases to continually grow personal contribution to the business.
Respond to information requests of audit, finance, and other internal and external stakeholders in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in business, engineering, finance, accounting, or other related discipline or equivalent work experience and 3 to 5+ years of experience in Data/Financial Analysis.
Highly competent in Microsoft office, specifically Microsoft Excel – Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Excel workbook creation, etc.
Knowledge of Power BI, SAP, Power Plan and Alteryx a plus.
Detail -oriented, proactive, quantitative & analytical skills, collaborates to find solutions and follows a problem through to the end.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to effect strategic decisions.
Demonstrates the ability to interpret information and analyze relationships among several parts of a problem or situation to clearly articulate the findings.
More Information
Salary: $99,000 - $116,000
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
