National Grid Lead Analyst in Waltham, Massachusetts

About the role

The Plan to Perform Transformation (PLTP) project is tasked with transforming National Grid’s PLTP process. We aim to deliver an integrated planning cycle meeting the needs of NG’s Enterprise Performance Management Requirements as well as the Business Units and Global Functions. Working as part of the core PLTP team this role is responsible for understanding user requirements and the PLTP roadmap to develop a new process and pass that knowledge and representations to the technical team.

We aim to deliver an integrated planning cycle meeting the needs of NG’s Enterprise Performance Management Requirements as well as the Business Units and Global Functions. Working as part of the core PLTP team this role is responsible for understanding user requirements and the PLTP roadmap to develop a new process and pass that knowledge and representations to the technical team.

This role is available until this project is completed and is expected to last 18 months.

What you'll do

  • Responsible synthesizing a new process and design with user requirements to drive transformational outcomes

  • Develop PLTP process requirements and translate them to our technical delivery team

  • Lead in stakeholdering key design decisions across the organization

  • Support the communications team in delivering training as modules are developed and rolled out to the user community

  • The successful candidate will be trained up in the chosen tool and will become a subject matter expert in the tool and NG’s improved PLTP process.

Given the fast nature and changing dynamic of a project you will be expected to pick up ad hoc tasks as and when required to deliver project objectives. In addition, as we work through the project lifecycle certain tasks may have greater or less focus at any one time.

  • Experience in defining requirements within a complex multi ledger organisation

  • Technical knowledge of SAP landscape is an advantage

  • Ability to translate business requirements into IT deliverables.

  • Ability to manage and drive multiple and often conflicting stakeholders to consensus

  • Use tool knowledge and experience to drive user adoption

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Experience working with financial planning systems and broader accounting information system experience.

  • Technical and functional proficiency in financial modules.

  • Detailed knowledge of finance processes and terminology.

  • Advanced project management and problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced collaboration and partnership capabilities.

  • Excellent written/oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in following areas is a plus:

  • Finance and Accounting processes.

  • Utility industry accounting.

  • Risk mitigation.

What you'll get

Annual Salary

MA: $110,000-$129,000

DNY: $117,000-$138,000

UNY: $98,000-$115,000

Salary commensurate with location and experience.

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
