PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Global Network Services team supports the company’s global network infrastructure. The team is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of data network services including WAN, Internet, LAN, DDI, Wireless and security related services (Firewalls and NAC).

Your primary tasks include the deployment, operation and continuous improvement of the global network infrastructure – supporting our global Network Access Control infrastructure.

Close cooperation with Regional IT colleagues will be required to ensure that the network infrastructure is delivered in accordance with business requirements and global standards. You will also provide third line incident support and provide knowledge transfer to first level support teams.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Install, configure and deploy network equipment.

  • Configure, manage, and upgrade of security products/appliances

  • Implement policies and design controls, delivers and operates security platforms

  • Supporting the team in PoCs for new network technologies

  • Ensure compliance of regional network infrastructure to global standards.

  • Coordinate deployment of new network services.

  • Experience with one or more of the following security products: Splunk, Wireshark, ForeScout

  • Responsible for second / third level incident support and problem management - ensuring 24x7x365 operation

  • Provide technical support within managed services

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Degree / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering

Required skills:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in network, Information Security administration

  • Demonstrated abilities in contributing to a team environment, meeting stringent deadlines, prioritization and multi-tasking

  • Strong understanding of routing and switching network technologies.MPLS, BGP, OSPF, 802.1X, HSRP, VLANs, VRRP, WLAN, NAC and DDI should not be foreign words

  • In-depth knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite

  • programming skills in any of the following languages: Python, Java, PERL, C, shell scripts

  • UNIX/Linux administration and IPv6 experience advantageous.

  • verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language and good German language skills

Preferred skills:

  • Flexible, self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast paced and multi-cultural organization.

  • High degree of “get it done” mentality and goal orientation

  • CCNA and/or CCNP certification advantageous

  • FSCA and/or FSCE certification advantageous

  • Security related certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.) advantageous

WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in Enterprise Network administration focused on complex network infrastructure setups (WAN-LAN-WLAN-NAC) technologies. Working experience in Network Access Control administration would be advantageous.
