Job DescriptionMake a bigger difference
PURPOSE:
The Mishkon Division provides supports and services in a healthy and safe environment for individuals with intellectual/ developmental disabilities living in residential programs and in community settings. Our core values are to provide a healthy and safe environment that promotes person centered planning, community integration, and close collaboration with families and the community. This is all accomplished through an Orthodox Jewish lens, and with an understanding that staff, at all levels of the division, is the determining factor in achieving positive outcomes for our clients.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Residential Coordinator supervises multiple residential apartments/homes. He/she has clinical and administrative oversight of the Residential programs. The Residential Coordinator is responsible to ensure the smooth operation of the Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and Individualized Residential Alternative (IRA) serving adults with developmental disabilities. Reporting to the Director of Residential Services, the Residential Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of the programs in line with the OPWDD regulations and Director’s instructions and ensures consistent and appropriate program coverage.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides regular supervision of management staff.
Works with managers on staffing and scheduling
Provides day to day fiscal oversight on all expenditures
Reviews and approves weekly timesheets and overtime
Provides residential and clinical oversight to interdisciplinary team
Works closely with client families and guardians to coordinate client care
Ensures appropriate follow up of management staff for all recommended changes
Ensures regulatory compliance at each facility on a day to day basis
Responsible for the review of fire plans and fire drill compliance
Develops strategies to improve quality of life of the clients
Coordinates regular interdisciplinary team meeting at each site to review progress
Participates in coordinated meetings with individuals’ day programs/schools.
Participates in the Incident review committee meetings
Additional duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED:
Master’s Degree in Human Services or Related Field
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE:
A minimum of five (5) years working with the I/DD Population as well as five (5) year of supervisory experience.
