Job Summary:
The Project Manager II (PM) is responsible for facilitating the execution of projects that support WellSense’s strategic goals and objectives. The PM II works with project teams throughout the lifecycle of a project, from Ideation through Closure. They are responsible for the scope, schedule, resources and budget of assigned projects, and are accountable for project documentation and communication.
Project Managers support the business owner in delivering the project’s benefits, and work closely with the project sponsor and project team to define and execute the work required to deliver the project’s benefits. The PM coordinates and oversees the execution of the project management plan, including scope, schedule, resource, budget, risk, stakeholder and communication elements.
Successful candidates will have the ability to exercise strong leadership and collaboration skills, manage complex project plans, help the organization adopt PM best practices and identify opportunities to continuously improve delivery in our dynamic business environment.

Key Functions/Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the business on chartering of new projects. Develop project management plans to support each new initiative.
· Ensure scope clarity and requirements definition. Manage the scope throughout the project life cycle to ensure alignment to the business objectives.
· Understands finance, planning, forecasting, and personnel to effectively manage team staff and business issues/linkages. Develop forecast and budget for assigned projects.
· Drives the development of project plans and work breakdown structures (WBS) to clarify the work and schedule.
· Critical Path Development - Identifies all activities (not deliverables) based on WBS, identifies all dependencies, creates a network diagram, estimates the duration of each activity, and calculates the Critical Path.
· Drives execution activities to realize project objectives. Manages project schedule and timelines to meet critical path milestones.
· Dependencies Management - Creates a log of all the project dependencies, logs the constraints (scope, time cost) including the major dependencies and the constraints as risks. Monitors, communicates, and reports.
· Manages project resources throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor activity against the resource plan, and mitigate risks related to resource constraints.
· Utilize project and office tools to develop utilization reports; communication documents; level I and II analysis; status reports, and other necessary documents to smoothly manage a projects / programs.
· Plan and deliver project communications as part of the stakeholder management plan. Ensure team awareness and engagement.
· Work with the business to identify any project closure transitions and execute appropriate hand-offs to operational leadership.
· Prepare results-driven reporting on the outcomes of a project at intervals following closure.
· Performs risk assessment on assigned projects throughout the project life cycle.
· Ensures proper Project Management artifacts (Project Plans, RAIDs, Status Reports, etc.) are complete and accurate.
· Administer change control processes and leverage governance channels to ensure project stability and transparency.
· Create and maintain project repositories, archives, and documentation, and maintain a high level of organization.
· Proven ability to effect change, meet business goals, and monitor progress.
Supervision Exercised:
· This role does not have supervision responsibilities.
Supervision Received:
· Direct supervision from a Manager is received weekly.
Qualifications:
Education Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
· Completed advanced project management education curriculum.
Education Preferred:
· Possesses valid PMP or equivalent experience.
· Six Sigma Certification (Green / Yellow) or equivalent experience.
Experience Required:
· 3 – 5 years of project management experience.
· Successfully managed projects with 10 or more FTEs through full project lifecycle.
· Average duration of projects is 1,500 – 3,500 hours.
· Has professional knowledge of market segment/industry.
Experience Preferred/Desirable:
· Hands on experience with PPM tools and software (Plan View / Project Place, Asana, Microsoft Project, etc.).
· 2+ years’ Experience with a Health Plan, or other Healthcare Experience.
· 2+ years’ Experience with Medicaid or Medicare managed Health care or health plan.
· Experience in SAFe Agile methodology.
Required Licensure, Certification or Conditions of Employment:

· Identify areas of concern or constraint, and actively advocate within the PMO and the Business for needed project resources, decisions, etc.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
· Ability to work East Coast business hours.
· Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position.
· Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
· No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
