Cornerstone onDemand Principal Program Manager, IT Operations in United States

Cornerstone is looking for a Principal Program Manager, IT Operations to join our IT Operations team who will play a key role in managing enterprise-wide cross functional merger and acquisition projects. You will be working alongside operational and cross-functional team managers on the execution of key operational efforts aligned with our overall corporate strategy and goals.

To succeed in this role, it will be necessary for you to have a natural analytical way of thinking, a collaborative working and communication style, strong stakeholder management skills across all levels of an organization, solid change management skills, and clear sense of ownership and accountability.

In this role you will...

  • Partners with project sponsor to define project objectives, scope, schedule, and budget

  • Work with team leadership to understand the customer and their needs and concerns define solutions

  • You are responsible for defining and delivering programs with significant complexity and/or that have broad cross organizational, global, or technology impact

  • You are trusted to operate with complete independence and are often assigned to focus on areas where the business and/or architectural strategy has not yet been defined

  • You consistently bring strong, data-driven business and technical judgment to decisions

  • You proactively drive business and system-level reviews, aligning teams toward coherent technology strategies and effective engineering processes

  • You effectively partner with all levels of leadership

  • You show excellent judgment in driving executive-level escalations

  • You amplify your impact by educating the organization and operations communities on program management best practices

  • Have deep and broad experience managing infrastructure & operational processes associated with Mergers & Acquisitions.

  • A track record of excellence in communication with executives and technical non-technical leaders

  • You must have experience with large-scale IT Transformations and Merger & Acquisition system integrations

  • Display a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically

  • Proven ability to influence & gain buy-in at multiple levels, across divisions, functions and cultures

  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Taking ownership and driving business results

  • Able to think creatively, be analytically minded, and objective and independent

You have what it takes if you have…

  • A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field

  • 8+ years of experience in leading and supporting project management and/or business analysis projects, or as an IT consultant.

  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with others to determine, and execute, acceptable solutions

  • Excellent meeting planning and facilitation skills

  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills including the ability to concisely communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability of working in a busy and highly collaborative environment

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, a self-starter

  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

  • Consideration for privacy and security obligations

Extra dose of awesome if you have…

  • CAPM, PMP or Scrum/Agile certifications

  • Change Management experience and certifications

  • Experience with one or several of these tools: Salesforce, Mavenlink (or other PSA tools), JIRA, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, LucidChart, Tableau
