Job Summary:

Reporting to the Manager of Consumer Sales and Performance, the Broker Account Executive is a licensed sales professional with experience in Medicare/Medicare Advantage and individual ACA markets and is responsible for building and managing relationships with WellSense’s contracted brokers. The Broker Account Executive provides strategy support and product training brokers to ensure market competitiveness and exceed sales performance goals.

Key Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a robust broker distribution channel supporting both Medicare and individual ACA lines of business (LOB).

  • Schedule weekly face to face agent/broker sales calls to increase visibility and awareness of the WellSense Medicare Advantage and ACA plans.

  • Develop and conduct monthly training seminars for WellSense products.

  • Support the brokers as needed to help them grow their book of business through business development planning, co-op marketing support and client support.

  • Collaborate with internal business partners to help create communication and broker focused materials.

  • Strong knowledge of the New Hampshire health care market including experience with Medicare, ACA and existing brokers relationships.

  • Conducts on-going market research and provides key information to product and marketing teams to help the strategic plan.

  • Maintain product and industry knowledge of marketing and sales tactics.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of training and experience, plus minimum 5 years related experience in sales and/or territory management in healthcare, preferably Medicare/ACA.

Experience Required:

· Minimum 5 years in a similar account management/broker management role.

· Knowledge of industry standards and practices.

· Highly proficient with presentation skills and communication skills with all levels of leadership.

· Ability to self-manage based on organization goals and expectations.

Required Licensure, Certification or Conditions of Employment:

· NH Insurance License required

· AHIP, FFM certification preferred

· Successful completion of pre-employment background check

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact within all levels of the organization.

  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize and manage projects

  • Detail oriented, excellent proof reading and editing skills.

  • Strong presentation skills both in person and virtually

  • Ability to take initiative on projects and assignments.

  • Customer focus approach to work every day.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position.

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

  • No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
