As a Lead Client Accountable Executive (CAE), you will be the trusted partner with industry and client knowledge to build, maintain and leverage relationships that result in top client performance and the growth of our clients’ and Cerner’s businesses.
You will own a strategic partnership with multiple Cerner clients across the Coventry and Warwickshire STP (and soon to be an Integrated Care System - ICS). You will be a trusted advisor accountable for the creation of a shared governance structure with a shared vision of success; implementation and optimisation of the current and future roadmap, inclusive of population health management strategies; and an overall focus on identifying outcomes and achieving value with the clients.
This role is a highly visible one within Cerner. You will be expected to make business-impacting decisions under pressure from clients and ensure buy-in from the Cerner senior leadership; to facilitate the client meeting their commitments while not breaking the strategic relationships you have formed; to contribute in real terms to the top and bottom lines of Cerner’s financial reports on a reliable and predictable basis.
You will manage the overall client relationship at all organisations across the region, including serving as the escalation point and facilitating resolution of issues requiring executive attention, and advocate for the clients within Cerner; build and maintain strategic partnerships at all levels across the client organizations and region wide; and oversee all Cerner related engagements with the clients, including implementation delivery, to achieve consistency in strategy, messaging, and delivery to the clients, as committed.
In addition, you will continuously grow the overall reference-ability of the clients and proactively provide them with opportunities to promote the value of the Cerner relationship; plan and lead strategic road mapping sessions and propose solutions and services tailored to their needs and vision; support the clients through the business case process to enable them to articulate their why, return on investment, value, and benefits.
The Lead CAE has accountability for creating, managing, and negotiating sales quotes with clients, ensuring a win-win environment and mapping to both parties’ strategic objectives. You will be expected to draft client contracts in conjunction with commercial and finance teams and drive these opportunities through to contract signature. Overall, you will be responsible to establish best practices for managing client profitability, including invoicing, accounts receivable, cash collections, write-off processes, and contractual interactions.
Client ownership is subject to change; however, expectation is that the Lead CAE will be initially responsible for all clients within the Coventry and Warwickshire region.

Bachelor’s degree or 4 years relevant work experience plus:
6 years additional relevant work experience including
3 years in sales, business development, client relationship management, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience
Experience of building relationships with NHS Trust Executive Board members or similar and senior clinicians
Experience working with an electronic patient record
Experience working with Cerner Millennium
Experience working with Population Health Management systems and executing strategy
Understanding and use of Salesforce
Ability to travel up to 50%
Reside in or be willing to relocate to the Coventry and Warwickshire area
Ability to work irregular hours as needed
Expert with Microsoft Office Suite
