We are excited to announce that Oracle Cerner is now looking for 7 graduates to join our Interface Engineering team in the UK. As a graduate Interface Engineer I you will work closely with an Interface Architect to coordinate interface design and implementation activities to integrate Cerner’s Millennium products with 3rd party hospital systems, ensuring that the right data is received by the right people at the right time. This interface and integration work allows clinicians and other healthcare providers to make accurate assessments on patients to ensure the best possible outcome for the patient and reduce medical error.

As an Interface Engineer I you will be responsible for building and testing interface design and providing interface support during implementation activities. You will configure and install Oracle Cerner interfaces and will be expected to troubleshoot and resolve system interface issues whilst supporting testing during the life cycle of the project. You will also be expected to perform and test complex data migration and conversion programs.

You will join our Interface Engineer Academy and will learn all aspects of the job, alongside other new starters. We have a comprehensive onboarding program and ongoing learning tools for you to advance your skills and career.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer or Management Information Systems or related field OR 4 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge about database architecture work experience, preferably SQL based;

  • Knowledge about developing software using one or more preferred programming languages, including Java, C++, C#, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, etc.;

  • Knowledge about coding and/or using Linux;

  • Knowledge about interoperability technologies such as SOAP, RESTful and XML/HTTP(s) web services.


  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed;

  • Willing to travel up to 50% to client site.
