LSEG Lead QA Engineer in Thailand

There is an opportunity for an experienced Software QA Engineer to join a team that develops and implements software that is focused on providing Client Onboarding and KYC solutions to financial institutions, with complex clients and products. It combines the necessary components of Data Model, Client Hierarchy, Workflow, Business Rules, Data Management, and Documentation Management. The Test Analyst will play a key role in ensuring that our software releases are delivered to a high level of quality, with minimal rework.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team delivering projects that involve implementing and enhancing the software for clients, building out interfaces to integrate with upstream/downstream systems and enhancing the capabilities of the core platform

  • Take ownership of ensuring quality controls are defined and adopted, in line with recognised testing frameworks and industry best practice.

  • Take the lead on test planning and estimation

  • Define, maintain and execute test cases/scenarios in line with client requirements and software releases (both manual and automated)

  • Define, maintain and execute regression testing (both manual and automated)

  • Liaise with both internal colleagues and client stakeholders to support testing activities, such as Unit Testing, Functional Testing, Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing

  • Capture details of defects and steps to replicate

  • Manage end to end tracking of defects and their remediation in a systematic way

  • Perform testing duties to a high standard while adhering to implementation timelines agreed with both the client and internal stakeholders

  • Provide ongoing support to clients to identify and remediate software issues and defects

  • Collaborate with global peers to build out automated testing capabilities around the platform

  • Update project planning and time tracking systems

  • Provide timely reporting on testing status and escalate any risks

Qualifications / Experience


  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar testing role

  • Strong understanding of testing frameworks, tools and best practice

  • Technical exposure, with understanding of the full SDLC

  • Excellent, well-developed interpersonal skills

  • Fluent verbal/written English communication skills

  • Self-motivated, highly accountable individual with strong attention to detail

  • Experience working with clients and colleagues remotely in other geographic locations

  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills of complex issues, and follow-through actions including documenting and sharing solutions

  • Evidence of collaborative working within a globally distributed Professional Services team or technical implementations team

  • Tertiary qualification in a related field


  • Working experience with the following technologies:

  • Relational databases and SQL

  • Java/Javascript

  • Interfaces/API/XML/JSON

  • Web servers

  • Working experience in Financial Services, especially in Risk & Compliance space or workflow solutions

  • Exposure to Project Management, both waterfall and agile methodologies
