CW-IT Applications Developer III

Develops, implements and assesses specific new and emerging technologies, platforms, and services.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assessing the technical viability of emerging products and technologies.

  • Working with developers and infrastructure specialists to test and evaluate new technologies.

  • Participating in the development of business cases and obtaining approvals for capital expenditures.

  • Monitoring and analyzing new technology product performance and resolving issues regarding potential improvements or modifications to complex situations, as needed.

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role is located at our TIAA office in Chicago, IL, Iselin, NJ, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC but will be currently remote.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 12 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.

SUMMARY

  • The CWMOT - Eagle Systems Analyst role requires knowledge of fund performance (IBOR and ABOR), portfolio accounting, trade processing, cash reporting and reconciliation processes

  • The role requires technical knowledge of the Eagle Application Stack and Oracle SQL/ PLSQL

  • The role is responsible for supporting and expanding the Eagle PACE Performance module; Collaborating across business and IT leaders to understand business and functional requirements, understanding Operational workflows and processes and developing realization plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary responsibility of the role will be to work on Eagle Portfolio Accounting Middle Office Technology team, supporting Fund Investment Performance Calculation, Attribution, Index and Benchmark Data, Portfolio Accounting processes including trade processing, corporate action processing, cash reporting, reconciliation, accounting for equity, fixed income, municipal bonds, exchange traded and over the counter derivatives

  • Hands on knowledge on Eagle PACE Reporting Center module including Performance Analysis reports, Performance Calculation reports and Data Mart for populating trailing returns. Should be able to trouble shoot issues related to Performance calculation based on holdings and transactions

  • Understand key regulatory directives issued by financial oversight bodies such as GIPS, SEC, OCC, etc. with an ability to identify and interpret key areas / processes impacted within the client organization

  • Review and document current business and IT processes for portfolio accounting, create functional requirements for automating manual processes and to improve existing processes

  • Work with the development team to manage the complete SDLC

  • Work with the business teams to document use- cases, create test plan, perform integration testing and manage user acceptance testing

  • Provide support to Eagle daily batch process for Performance calculations, Portfolio Accounting, Reconciliation, Reference Data, Trade flow & Corporate Action processing

  • Work with IT and Ops support teams to triage production issues, analyze and communicate impact to SLAs arising from production issues, conduct root cause analysis, work on the issue till closure

  • Monitor incident and problem tickets, analyze the issues, create resolution plans and work with development and support teams to resolve the issue

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with Eagle PACE Application stack (Eagle PACE Performance, Eagle STAR, Eagle Security Reference Manager, Eagle Message Center, Eagle IWS )

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Working knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), JIRA

  • Must be detailed oriented and extremely organized

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
