Info Systems Engineer
The Information Systems Engineer designs information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Formulates system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
Evaluates and implements changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
Reviews flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
Maintaining relationships with stakeholders, addresses stakeholder requirements and providing clients consultations to shape the future success of EA.
Reviews technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
Providing EA support by directing teams in baseline, target and roadmap development, transition planning, system and security management and segment architecture.
Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.
Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
Educates end users on system designs and functionalities through creation of training materials and conducting demos.
Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems.

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.
This role can be located on our TIAA office in Charlotte, NC & Chicago IL, Iselin, NJ & Denver, CO will be currently remote.
POSITION SUMMARY: Sr. Network Security Engineer
The Sr. Network Security Engineer is a highly technical position, reporting to the Manager, Network Security Engineering, and will interact heavily with the Federated Operations and Engineering communities. The Sr. Network Security Engineer will be responsible for determining the business requirements, design, implement, and manage the overall effectiveness and stability of the Cloud Proxy services through integration with Zscaler. This role will be responsible for engineering, designing, migrating, and developing the technical direction for the Cloud Proxy services. An understanding of the end user services, firewall management, identity management, and DNS technical complexities of integration and support, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment, is necessary.
A critical aspect of the role is to manage and support the network aspects of Network Security Engineering programs for Internet and Remote Access connectivity and for corporate expansion and integration. Responsible for managing technical solutions that will carry TIAA into the future and support a period of tremendous change; leading with influence and a balanced approach to quality execution, stability, and world class customer support.
The successful candidate must have a proven ability as a strong team player, able to collaborate and influence to achieve goals that define and develop best-in-class network security service that meets TIAA’s march towards a global operating enterprise.
Join the team to lead the implementation of the new Cloud Proxy service, develop a change structure, and deploy the services with a key focus on SLA’s and stability to deliver services with minimal downtime, globally
Understanding and deployment support for, the full platform product life cycle
Support the platforms and determine the best operating model that enables our people to be productive 7x24 regardless of geography
Participate in service reviews, continually improving our service
ROLE SPECIFICATION: Sr. Network Security Engineer – Cloud Proxy
Assist in designing and deploying a scalable cloud proxy solution for massively growing global infrastructure
Contribute to OS packaging and distribution
Write, augment, and maintain solution documentations
Define and deliver selection of appropriate tools and target state connectivity solutions, service management, and service catalog integration
Make recommendations on integration strategies, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement desired solutions providing best practice advice to other teams to optimize Zscaler Cloud effectiveness.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in deploying, engineering, configuring, and implementing enterprise security networks with diverse solutions from multiple vendors on a large enterprise and global scale.
Proven track record of migrating and/or engineering internet proxy services including explicit and transparent configurations, PAC file management, categorization, and identity access management.
Validated knowledge of network security technologies through achievement of professional certifications.
Solid understanding of network and data center architecture, including cloud architectures in design, implementation, and engineering such as Microsoft Teams, AWS, Workday, etc.
Knowledge of networking infrastructure suppliers and service offerings including or similar to: Cisco, F5 Networks, Palo Alto Networks, Infoblox, Riverbed, Zscaler, etc.
Knowledge of security design principals ensuring secure, scalable and supportable network services
A proven track record of technical experience with network technologies, tools and platforms
Deep understanding of the design, engineering, and regulatory aspects of global networks
Solid understanding of remote access, zero trust networks, SDWAN, and SaaS solutions
Bachelor’s degree preferred along with relevant industry certifications
Senior leader presence with strong attributes of technical proficiency, business acumen, analytical, problem solving and verbal and written communication skills with willingness to travel (if needed)
Passion for leading change and ability to bring others along
